Using Subversion 1.8.14 I just did a svnadmin verify on my repository (which now has 1932 revisions), and it verified with no problems.Original comment by garretwilson I think the property validation problem is independent of the corruption issue.I guess that changed in apache somewhere down the line between 8.10 and 10.04. Do I need to update or upgrade my SSL or Subversion or anything else? System information: - Ubuntu 10.10 - Subversion 1.6.12 I got the "SSL handshake failed" issue on Ubuntu 10.04.I resolved by renaming both ~/and ~/.subversion (don't know which one fixed the problem because I renamed both on the same time).'svnadmin verify' will always be able to tell whether the new repository is in a healthy state. It is interesting that *both new-repo-1.9 and new-repo-normalized-1.9* produced this error using the Subversion 1.9 binaries!!

But in the end, getting to the root cause of the problem probably requires a copy of the original repo. (1.9) Load Subversion 1.8 repository with --bypass-prop-validation (new-repo-1.9). (1.9) Use svnsync to normalize EOL (temp-repo-1.9). If Subversion 1.9 had somehow corrupted the repositories, how did the Subversion 1.9 give me back a dump file that works 100% fine with Subversion 1.8 binaries, and even verifies 100% with Subversion 1.8 binaries? And sorry, but I'm not going through that again at the moment. Yet new-repo-normalized-1.8 causes no errors whatsoever with Subversion 1.8 binaries. But in the end, getting to the root cause of the problem probably requires a copy of the original repo. (1.8) Create and load new repo from (new-repo-normalized-1.8).Consider the following points: * I have been maintaining this repository since 2003. * Revision 1925 was only made a few days ago, on 2015-08-15.* Revision 1925 was the second-to-last revision in the repository at the time that I did a svnadmin load using Subversion 1.9 with --bypass-prop-validation.
